Moldovan government purchases 110 new ambulances in 2018

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/- The government acquired 110 new ambulances this year, and other 170 are to be purchased in 2019. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement, unveiling to the parliament the Government Program for 2016-2018.
The official said the current government has launched the primary health care reform "to bring family doctors to each of the 380 localities where there are no specialists."
"Until then, we launched the A doctor for you campaign, in which over 30,000 people were considered for free. We are talking about mixed teams of specialists, lung screening, dental checkups for children and mammography. At the same time, we increased salaries for doctors in 2016 once with wage reform. A doctor who works for the Medicines Agency for example will get over 10,000 lei, compared to 6,000 lei he gets now ", he said.
Also, the premier presented the achievements of the executive in education. "With Romania's help we renovated over 900 kindergartens. From 2012 to 2015, allowance per pupil for school feeding increased by ... just 50 bani. In three years of government, we have increased this amount seven times more than it was at that time. The teachers will also have a lot to gain. In three years of government, their salaries increased by almost 40%, and after wage reform, teachers will have salaries up by 84% than three years ago. We also increased allowances for young teachers from 45 to 120 thousand lei. We will offer 2,000 lei to teachers for teaching materials," he said.
The parliament took note of the report presented by the prime minister.
