Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ – The average wage in economy has increased by 40 per cent within three years, and after the wage reform it will be higher by 50 per cent. The data were presented today in the Parliament by Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, in the activity report of the Government for 2016 – 2018.

According to Filip, when the current Government took office, it was chaos and inequity in the pay system. "Following the reforms that have been implemented, we now have a unitary, balanced and fair system. All employees in the budgetary sector will receive higher salaries. No one will raise wages below MDL 2,000. The were reduced differences between the employees, which means that the heads will not have salaries 33 times higher than the employees, this ratio will now reach a maximum of 15. A nurse at kindergarten will raise MDL 3,000, which although it seems a little, is 2 or more than so far. A kindergarten educator will have MDL 5,000, compared to MDL 3,000 received earlier, and an accountant will raise twice the salary of about MDL 6,000. The employees working in mayor's offices in the culture sector will raise wages by 80 per cent higher," said Filip.
