Twelve states from southeast Europe, including Moldova, to exchange DNA data

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - More states of the Southeast Europe, among which Moldova, will make automated exchange of DNA data, dactyloscopic data and data of vehicles’ registration. The provisions are contained in the Agreement signed in Vienna on 13 September 2018, ratified by the parliament today.
The agreement signed between the states parties to the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe and the document on its implementation were considered in parliament’s commissions today.
The document implies the exchange, at the inter-state level, of relevant information on people involved in offences, as well as on the DNA profiles and other identification materials.
The agreement between the parties to the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe was signed by Albania, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia in Vienna on 13 September 2018.
