Moldovan parliament appoints Constitutional Court judge

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - An MP of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM), Raisa Apolschi, today was appointed by the parliament to the position of judge of the Constitutional Court (CCM).
Fifty four lawmakers voted for this candidature.
Raisa Apolschi is jurist by profession and has acted as PDM MP since 2010. Apolschi is of head of the parliament’s juridical commission for rules and immunities and member of the PDM National Political Council.
During 1989-1994, she worked as judge at the Ciocana district court of Chisinau. In 2003-2008, Apolschi acted as ombudswoman, director of the Centre for Human Rights from Moldova.
