Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - The organization and work of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) will be settled by a new Regulation. The new document today was approved with the votes of the majority of the lawmakers present in the session hall.
The regulation regards the ANRE’s management, powers and responsibilities of the Agency. The legislative initiative belongs to MP, head of the commission for economy, budget and finances Stefan Creanga. According to him, the initiative is meant to adjust Moldova’s legislation to the stipulations of the Third Energy Package.
”ANRE’s Regulation, approved under the parliament’s decision from 26 October 2012, has remained unchanged till present and its most stipulations have become obsolete and in disagreement with the legal provisions,” Creanga noted.
Under the provisions of the Constitution, the mandate of the parliament is extended till the legal election of the new parliament’s convocation. On this period, the parliament can adopt ordinary laws, decisions, can organize hearings, consultations and carry out parliamentary control.
