Qatar State's culture days to be organized in Moldova in 2019

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/ - The organization, during 2019, of the Qatari culture days in Moldova and of Moldovan culture days in Qatar was agreed upon at a meeting between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi and Minister of Culture and Sports of the State of Qatar Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The officials said that these events would contribute to the development of the relations between the two states, deepening and extending them in other sectors. The Qatari official noted that the organization of exhibitions, exchange of visits between officials and experts in the field, as well as the mutual translation of famous books from both countries can be concrete projects which can be implemented in the near future.
At the meeting, Tudor Ulianovschi and Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali exchanged opinions on cooperation in the field of museography, organization of trainings in the sector of museum management and marketing, restoration workshops, as well as exhibitions of contemporary art in both states. Also, the sides established the carrying out of projects on studying the experience of the State of Qatar in the digitalization of museum collections and working out electronic registers as to the cultural heritage objects.
A separate aspect of the discussions was the cooperation in the sports sectors between different Olympic and Paralympic federations of the two states. As for the deepening the collaboration in the concerned field, Tudor Ulianovschi and Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the sports sector between the Moldovan government and the cabinet of the State of Qatar.
The document sets aspects of mutual cooperation in the sports field by promoting the exchange of visits of delegations of sportspeople, trainers, experts and specialists in the sports sector and physical culture, collaborating through relevant sports federations from both countries.
In the context, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi congratulated the Qatari authorities for the achievements got in preparations for the World Cup due in 2022.
