All roads in Moldova passable

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- All roads in the country are passable and dangerous areas are monitored. The head of the State Road Administration's Operational Service, Sergiu Capatina, made the statement today.
"Last night the patrol and anti slide works were carried out on national roads. The process involved 102 special vehicles, which spread over 1,347 tons of anti-skid material. 238 road workers were trained there,” he said.
The Chisinau city hall announced this morning that the road traffic on the streets is under normal conditions and public transport runs as normal.
The head of the press service of the National Patrol Inspectorate, Alina Bunghez, said that patrol inspectors are working harder. "At the same time, they accompany the special vehicles which spread anti-skid material. To avoid risk situations, drivers are urged to be well equipped,” Bunghez said.
The State Hydrometeorological Service announced the yellow icy code by tomorrow, 19 December. The warning is valid throughout the country. The weather is cooling down in the coming days. The air temperatures will reach -12 degrees at night in the north, and -4 degrees during the day in the south. Snowfall is expected in some areas.
