Three persons die in bonfire in central district of Moldova

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ – A woman of 29, a man of 40 and a child of 6 died in a bonfire of household in the morning of 18 December in Bratuleni village, Nisporeni district.

The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Liliana Puscasu, has mentioned that Service 112 received the call at 10:00.

"Three intervention teams were sent to the site, which determined that the bonfire burnt a room of 20 m2. According to the first researches, the fire broke out at night, and after burning, it extinguished, and the persons inside could not get out," said Puscasu.

The Experimental fire test lab (LEA) is working on the spot to determine all the circumstances and the cause of the bonfire outbreak.

According to IGSU's data, there have occurred 1,576 bonfires in Moldova since the beginning of 2018, resulting into death of 107 persons.
