Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration participates in Ambassadors' Conference

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic has participated in the Ambassadors’ Conference 2018, titled, Georgian Diplomacy for Freedom, Well-being and Country’s Fast Development, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.    

At the meeting, the deputy prime minister expressed Moldova’s full openness to actively get involved in the exchange of experience for the peaceful settlement of conflicts and strengthening instruments of human rights’ protection.   

Cristina Lesnic highlighted several important aspects of the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement, among which the access of transport means from the Transnistrian region to the international traffic, free movement, farmers’ access to farmlands, etc. At the same time, the deputy prime minister stressed the importance of the international support for the withdrawal of the Russian military troops from Moldova’s territory.   

Also, in front of the audience, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic, Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili and  Ukraine's Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaces Persons Vadym Chernysh emphasized the importance to ensure and maintain security in the states hit by the conflict.    

The Ambassadors’ Conference brought together more than 120 high-level foreign diplomats and officials and its goal was to present new initiatives, establish new tasks and priorities, approach aspects concerning the security and stable development for the peaceful settlement of the unsolved conflicts.
