Stone for Peace sculpture composition built in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - A sculpture composition, Stone for Peace, will be constructed on the square of Moldova’s State University (USM), under a decision approved by the cabinet today.

According to the document, the spending for edifying the sculpture composition and arranging the adjacent land was covered with donations and sponsorships.

The document’s authors said that such sculpture compositions were found in more than 100 states and are displayed in museums, parks or other public places. They were built at an initiative by the Stone for Peace association of Japan.

At the same time, the setting of the monument symbolizes a peace message and has a symbolic character in the relation between Japan and Moldova, in the context of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral relations.
