Moldovan capital's budget for 2019 passed in final reading

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ – The Chisinau municipal budget project for 2019 was voted in final reading by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today.

The document provides revenues of MDL 3.9 billion and expenses of MDL 4.23 billion. The revenues will consist of taxes, fees, payments and fines.

The budget deficit is about MDL 325 million. The authors propose that the deficit be covered by loans, grants, donations, sponsorships or other additional amounts.

The draft budget provides for allocation of financial means for rehabilitation of road and public lighting, repair works and procurement of equipment in the medical – sanitary institutions, educational institutions and carrying out of cultural and artistic activities.

The budget also includes amounts to cover staff costs, child food provision in educational institutions, payment of flat – rate compensation for heating of homes, maintenance, repair and arrangement of housing – communal purposes. Similarly, there are included budget allocations for public transport and road management.
