Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ – The insurance policy can be paid on-line, throughout the post terminal or at the post offices, and the insured person status will be granted and suspended under a new regulation, approved by the executive today, the government's communications and protocol department has reported.
The document sets out the conditions for granting/suspending the status of insured person, as well as the criteria for prioritisation in case of assigning the natural person to several categories of insurance premium payers. According to the Regulation, the National Healthcare Insurance Company (CNAM) will grant the insurance status to employed persons, to the ones insured by the Government and to the citizens which individually procure the compulsory healthcare insurance policy. In the event of non-payment of the premium, there will be applied penalties. At the same time, the status of insured person could be suspended.
At registration, the CNMM will assign to each person a compulsory insurance number, which will be entered in the Register of records of the insured persons. In this way, on the basis of the number of the insurance, as well as of the state identification number (IDPN), there will be kept record of all individuals.
Also, the reporting procedure will be simplified by institutions authorised to keep records of state – insured persons. The info will be transmitted to the CNAM via electronic channels, on-line or throughout the interoperability platform. Similarly, the uninsured persons, who are required to be provided on an individual basis, will be more easily identified.
The status of insured person can be verified by visiting www.cnam.md. Following the recently approved legislative amendments, the insured persons are no longer required to submit the paper policy for healthcare.
