Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law amending Law no.102/2017 on medical devices will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 21 December.

Under the document, ANSP will control the medical devices market, issue prescriptions, apply sanctions and restrictive measures of activity. At the same time, the institution will monitor the actions of economic agents regarding the execution of prescriptions and the removal of violations. It will consider reports on the risks arising in connection with medical devices.

Also, the new provisions set out that centralized purchases of medical devices and their maintenance services will be carried out by the Center for centralized healthcare procurement. To carry out import, manufacturing, marketing, technical support or repair of medical devices and optics, the entrepreneur will be required to have at least one specialist in the field or a bio-engineer.
