Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - All information registered at the 112 Single Service will be stocked for a period of ten years in an automated information system, which has worked in a testing regime so far. The measure is included in a regulation due to be published in the 21 December issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
According to the regulation’s authors, this will allow a better management of data, working out statistics, as well as optimizing the activity of the 112 Service.
The document regulates the process of management of the state register, made up of the automated information system of the national single service for emergency call 112 (RS 112), which is the official source of systematized data on emergency calls and notifications received from citizens. The regulation contains the description of emergency situations, information about the victim, caller’s place, term in which the reaction occurred and the result of the intervention of the specialized emergency services.
Also, the regulation sets the obligations of the institutions involved in the creation and keeping of the Register. Thus, the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, as possessor of RS 112, will ensure the management of the Register. The accumulation of data, as well as the completion of the cards of emergency calls will be provided by the 112 Service. At the same time, the providers of information for RS 112 will be the Interior Ministry, Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the Defence Ministry.
The access to the Register will be provided to competent institutions based on an application with specifying the family name, Christian name and office held by the applicant. At the same time, the Regulation contains measures meant to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data processed.
The decision enters into force on the date of its publication.
