Moldovan prison administration system renews car park with 14 vehicles

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ – The penitentiary administration system has renewed today the car park with 14 vehicles.

The motor – cars were sent to the subdivisions at an official ceremony, attended by the State Secretary of State of the Ministry of Justice, Anatolie Munteanu, the leadership and employees of the National Penitentiary Administration (ANP), as well as the penitentiary representatives which will benefit from transport units.

During the event, State Secretary General, Anatolie Munteanu, said that "this acquisition is part of the series of actions carried out at the government level for the improvement of the penitentiary system in Moldova".

The cars were purchased with the support of the Government of Moldova, in a public auction. Also, the cars procured have pollution standards within EU standards and low fuel consumption.

The total purchase cost is around MDL 3.5 million.
