Moldovan government extends list of beneficiaries of 600 lei aid for winter holidays

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/- The government has taken responsibility before parliament for a bill that provides for the extension of the categories of people who will get assistance amounting to 600 lei in winter holidays. A decision in this regard was approved today by the government.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that so far, about 540 thousand people have already received aid, who have a pension of less than 2 thousand lei.

The draft law approved by the executive today stipulates that 600 lei will be offered to people with disabilities, those who have lost their breadwinner and those who have reached retirement age, but do not have a full-length of service and receive benefits of several hundred lei.

Previously, the authorities have decided that people with pensions of less than 2 thousand lei will receive on the eve of the winter holidays one-off allowance amounting to 600 lei.
