Border policemen meet citizens crossing Moldova's state frontier with apples

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovans, as well as foreign citizens who cross Moldova’s border on the period of the winter holidays will be met with native apples. The action takes place within a campaign titled, Christmas at Home, organized by the Moldovan government till 15 January 2019.
Data by the General Inspectorate of Border Police shows that the participants in the cross-border traffic will receive, besides the traditional greeting and the message of “Happy Holidays”, also an apple from border policemen. The apples will have stickers with the inscription, The Tree of Life – We Support Native Producer, and were made available by the Investments Agency.
Those more than 800,000 fruits will be distributed to the most demanded border crossing points till the end of the campaign, Christmas at Home.
Also, Moldovans returning home, as well as foreigners will be invited to the Christmas Fair, held in the centre of Chisinau.
