Moldovan PM attends third issue of Entrepreneurs Gala

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Pavel Filip, along with more than 1,000 entrepreneurs in the country, participated yesterday in the third edition of Entrepreneurs Gala. In his speech, the prime minister said that the organizer of the event - the Association of Moldovan Businessmen (AOAM) is the one that supports the government in the dialogue with the business representatives, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
According to the premier, the economic stabilization and the implementation of reforms for the business environment have been the key priorities since taking office. Due to the economic growth and improvement of the business environment, the authorities have been able to make social investments. Only a year thousands of kilometers of roads were built, hundreds of kindergartens were renovated, and over 1,000 young families had bought their first home in the First Home Program. At the same time, in 3 years, the pensions increased by 47%, the average salary increased by 50%, and the pensioners with an income less than 2,000 lei and other categories of citizens received 600 lei for winter holidays.
In order to maintain positive dynamics, the official urged businesspeople to continue actively interacting with state authorities, and expressed conviction that the new year will bring new successes for entrepreneurs, the national economy and every citizen. "I have every confidence that during this period we have managed to lay the foundation and start to build in Moldova. Let us ensure this continuity also in 2019, as this construction will rise at a higher speed simply because the foundation has been put, " he said.
At the same time, Vlad Plahotniuc, the head of the Moldovan Businessmen Association, said that the current government is the only one that has managed to make the most of the promises made to businessmen, and 2018 was the best in the last 10 years in the economic sector. "We want your businesses to thrive in 2019 and in 2020, and in many, many years after that, as better for business, it means better for the country. Better for the country means better for people, and that's the purpose that unites us. If revenues and profits increase, budget revenues will increase, wages will increase and jobs will increase,” he said.
For their part, entrepreneurs noted that due to the government reforms, bureaucracy has fallen and now it is much easier for them to develop their businesses. At the event, ten young entrepreneurs have received grants from AOAM for business development. They said they will use the money to develop business at home. At the same time, they will have the opportunity to create new jobs that will help other dozens of young people build a future home in the Republic of Moldova.
