State budget law for 2019 published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the state budget law for 2019 have been published in the Official Journal of Moldova.
According to the law, the revenues of the state budget for 2019 are expected to be in the total amount of 42 125.5 million lei, with an increase compared to the current one by 5 203.5 million lei or by 14.1%.
88.6 percent of revenues come from taxes and duties, with an increase of 12.6% compared to the current year.
The expenditures of the state budget for 2019 are expected to amount to 47,664.2 million lei, with an increase of 5,679.7 million lei or 13.5% compared to the expenditures foreseen for 2018. They are determined by the need to financially prioritize branches, according to national and sectoral policy documents.
The budget deficit is estimated at 5,538.7 million lei and is to be covered from both external and internal sources. The state debt balance at 31 December 2019 will not exceed 63,011.5 million lei, out of which 59.1% external state debt and 40.9% domestic state debt, with an increase of 6,035.0 million lei against the figure for the end of 2018.
This law shall enter into force on 1 January 2019.
