Kindergarten in Gagauzia provided with sports inventory

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/- The first project in Gagauzia to provide preschool institutions with sports inventory was carried out in the kindergarten in the village of Chirsova, supported by Austria.
Before winter holidays, the kindergarten in Chirsova benefited from sports inventory worth 134 thousand lei. This has become possible due to - I grow up healthy project, funded by the Austrian organisation HOPE '87. The project aims to motivate children to practice sports, strengthen their physical condition and make them choose a healthy lifestyle.
"For the improvement of the sports infrastructure in the village of Chirsova, several actions were carried out, with the support of the development partners. Thus, in 2016 the sports hall in the local high school was repaired, in 2018 the gymnasium was renovated, and outdoor sports equipment was installed around the village stadium,” said Olesea Tanasoglo, vice-governor of the Gagauz autonomy, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.
Present at the inventory transfer ceremony, composer Constantin Rusnac, secretary general of the National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO, said that investments in children's health are the most important because they are investments in the future of the country. "We need a healthy generation, and sport, loved from an early age, is one of the prerequisites for it" Rusnac said.
Foundation Hope'87 (Hundreds of Original Projects for Employment) in Austria is a nonprofit initiative created in 1987 to help young people in their healthy development and professional development.
The Austrian Agency for Cooperation and Development, in collaboration with UNESCO, through the HOPE-87 organization, supports the Republic of Moldova by carrying out several social projects, including social and professional reintegration of young people from disadvantaged families.
