Moldovan Reintegration Policies Bureau's management unveils activity report for 2018

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic unveiled the summing up of the work carried in 2018 at a news conference today.
Among the achievements got in 2018, there are the opening of joint windows of the Public Services Agency in Tiraspol and Rabnita, re-establishment of farmers’ access to farmlands placed beyond the Rabnita-Tiraspol highway and settlement of the problem of Latin-script schools from the left bank of Dniester, so that pupils and teachers of those eight education institutions have free access to movement.
„Starting from 1 December this year alone, 1,739 persons have appealed for the change of Transnistrian driver’s licences into Moldovan ones. Two hundred drivers from the left bank of Dniester have already got neutral registration numbers and 3,000 stand in queue to obtain them,” Lesnic noted.
The official also said that, among the priorities for the next year, there is also the extension of the movement of the high-tonnage vehicles across the bridge nearby the Gura Bacului settlement. “We have made a feasibility study which allowed us finding out that this bridge bears the crossing of vehicles weighing up to 25 tons. Now, it remains to verify whether the bridge resists also the movement of trucks with higher tonnage,” Lesnic added.
Another priority is to ensure the interaction of the telecommunications systems from the two banks of Dniester in 2019.
