ACUM electoral bloc of Moldova makes public list of candidates for parliamentary polls

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - The ACUM electoral bloc today submitted to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) the list of candidates for the national electoral district for the parliamentary polls due on 24 February 2019. The candidates on behalf of the ACUM bloc for the uninominal districts will be announced subsequently.
The leader of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, and the leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA), Andrei Nastase, were the first on the list; they are followed by Alexandru Slusari, Igor Grosu, Igor Munteanu, Octavian Ticu and Liviu Vovc. Among the candidates, there is also a former judge, Domnica Manole.
Fifty five persons have been registered on the list of the ACUM Bloc. The file with the documents of candidates’ registration is considered by CEC, after which the future electoral candidates are expected at the Palace of the Republic, where they will lodge a declaration.
Also today, the Democratic Party and the Party of Socialists presented their lists of candidates for the parliamentary elections due on 24 February.
