Moldovan government approves new measures to promote employment

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ – The jobseekers will benefit from training and professional courses free of charge, and employment of some categories of unemployed will be subsidised by state, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The Government has approved today 11 new procedures on access to employment measures. Their implementation will help to prevent and reduce unemployment, reduce the gap between supply and demand, increase employment rates, especially in rural areas.
The document establishes the procedure for registering unemployed persons and removing them from the register. The recruiting a job seeker will be possible by addressing to the territorial subdivisions of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM). Also, the document regulates the issues related to the payment of unemployment benefit – its amount will be calculated according to the contribution period and average monthly income of the person in previous period.
Similarly, to facilitate integration into the labour market, there are planned several active measures, including: training of unemployed ones throughout training courses, and instructing, as well as their training at the workplace.
The project also provides for the subsidisation of jobs for persons requiring additional support on labour market. Thus, the employer will receive monthly 30 per cent of the average salary of economy, for 6 months, for each unemployed person. The support will also be provided to employers which create or adapt jobs for persons with disabilities. The ANOFM is to compensate 50 per cent of the expenses incurred. The Agency will also support the unemployed initiating a business – they will receive advice, but also 50 per cent financial aid to compensate for the company's registration costs, endowment of premises and procurement of equipment.
In particular, the local initiative projects will be supported so as to stimulate job creation in rural areas by providing subsidies. In this case, ANOFM will subsidise 65 per cent of the value of the project expenses. Also, the persons which are going to be employed in a different locality than the one they live in will receive a monthly wage allowance. The ones who will change their domicile in the locality where the workplace is located will benefit from an allowance equal to 5 monthly average monthly salaries of economy.
