Moldova joins Statutes of International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on the promulgation and the law on for Moldova joining the Statutes of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology will be published in the 28 December issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).
The ratified document sees Moldova’s adhesion to the Statutes of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, in order to use the potential of the genetic engineering and biotechnologies, to contribute to settling problems in the development sector.
The affiliation to the Statutes of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology results in the partnership for the promotion of the science of learning and innovation into a single technological and educational platform for the advancement towards the carrying out of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, especially the Sustainable Development Goal 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. At the same time, becoming a member, Moldova can benefit from scholarships, research grants, meetings and courses.
The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology is a single research institution, which combines high-quality academic goals and focuses on developing countries. The Statutes of the Centre comprises 23 articles, which describe the goals, duties, members, bodies of the Centre, affiliated centres and networks, relations with other organizations and procedure of withdrawal and liquidation.
