Moldovan medical institutions to work as normal during winter holidays

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - The medical institutions subordinated to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry will work as normal on the period of the winter holidays.  

Under an order by the aforementioned ministry, on 31 December 2018, 1, 7 and 8 January 2019, all medical institutions will work in a normal regime, ensuring an increased vigilance in providing medical assistance to residents in full volume.  

Thus, the administration of each institution will nominate guard staff and people in charge from the institutional management, through complementary work schedule, on the period of the winter holidays. At the same time, decision-makers will provide needed reserves of medicines, consumables, food and oil products for the uninterrupted work of the medical institutions.    

The National Public Health Agency will ensure increased supervision of the sanitary and epidemiological regime of objects with high risk and will carry out measures of prophylaxis of outbursts of infectious diseases. The National Blood Transfusion Centre will also provide the medical and sanitary institutions with sanguine products and the Forensic Medicine Centre will offer forensic assistance as normal.  

The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, through the subordinated structures, will reserve medicines, consumables and will organize their reception by the public medical and sanitary institutions, if needed.
