About 10,000 lease contracts registered at Moldova's Fiscal Service in first 11 months of 2018

Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ - About 10,000 lease contracts were registered at the State Fiscal Service in the first 11 months of 2018.  

On the same period, the fiscal authority identified 4,300 owners who let out on hire real estate and started actions prompting them to make income declarations. At the same time, inspectors carried out fiscal controls at 405 private persons who lease real estate. As a result, basic payments worth about 405,000 lei, penalties of 58,000 lei and fines amounting to 40,000 lei were additionally calculated at the budget.  

According to the Fiscal Service, in last October and November alone, more than 1,000 private people – owners, who let out on hire real estate were identified and 2,444 lease contracts were recorded and the budget was supplemented by 35,800 lei.  

Under the legislation, the private persons who let out on hire real estate must pay the tax worth seven per cent of the incomes got. The tax is to be paid on the date of 2 of the current month at the latest or in advance, at any commercial bank or post office of Moldova. The lease contracts can be registered at the fiscal service departments of the area of placement of the real estate.  

The private persons who do not fulfill their proper duties run the risk to be imposed fines or sanctions, in line with the provisions of the Fiscal Code.
