Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ – An information campaign on the exclusion of the medical policy on paper was launched by the National Healthcare Insurance Company (CNAM).
According to the CNAM’s information and media communication service, the annual public info campaign on the rights and obligations of beneficiaries in the compulsory healthcare insurance system (AOAM) will be carried out by 31 March 2019.
The primary objective of the campaign is to inform insured persons that they are no longer required to submit paper medical care policy in order to receive medical services and compensated medicines. The CNAM keeps records of the persons insured in electronic format throughout a specialised info system. Thus, when accessing medical services, compensated medicines, at hospital admission, citizens are to submit only the identity card or identity document, on the basis of which the medical workers check the status of the person in info system.
The authorities affirm that paper – based policy exclusion will have a positive impact including on people who pay the fixed – rate insurance premium via MPay Government Payments Service, as well as Moldovan citizens located outside of Moldova paying the premium.
During campaign, the persons will also be informed that they can check their status as insured person on site cnam.md under: Verification status of AOAM. As to inform the population, it was made a video and audio spot in Romanian and Russian languages, to be broadcast on TV and radio stations. Similarly, a long version of the spot will be displayed on the screens in the hall of public medical institutions, which contains info on how to obtain the status of insured person.
The info campaign also provides for a series of target group info meetings, publication of materials in print media and online in social media. Also, there will be distributed info materials on the rights and obligations of beneficiaries in compulsory healthcare insurance system, access to compensated medicines, registration with the family doctor and his change.
