Moderately low air temperatures, light snow expected in Moldova at New Year

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - The New Year night will be characterized by moderate air temperatures, with snowfall, rains and sleet in places, variable cloud.  

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, the air temperatures are forecast to oscillate between +1 and +6 Celsius degrees during the day and between 0 and -5 degrees at night. The same tendencies will be preserved on the first days of the New Year, when frost is expected at night and during the day the air temperatures will vary between -2 and +3 Celsius degrees. Precipitation is expected in some regions of Moldova on the New Year night. Thus, snowfall and sleet are expected in the northern region and rains in the centre and south, as well as light snow in places.
