Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ – An objective of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) for 2019 will be the further promotion of the Orhei Vechi cultural and natural reserve as the main destination of Moldova.
At a today press conference, State Secretary for Culture, Andrei Chistol, said that 2019 would be a reference year for the Orheiul Vechi Reservation. "In the discussions we have had with our development partners, we also intend to focus investments in this monument of national importance – the Orheiul Vechi Reservation, so that it will enjoy the popularity and the necessary promotion", specified Andrei Chistol.
Similarly, the official said that in 2019 it will be launched a project for inventory and classification of the built and mobile national heritage. In this respect, it will be improved the legal framework for the rescue, protection and enhancement of historic architectural monuments, as well as sites and public monuments.
"We have the budgetary support to start this process. We propose that the items entered in the Register of historical monuments (RMI) should have the necessary documentation of each monument, which, unfortunately, is not at the moment. Here, we also propose to work with the Register of real estate (RBI) and mention where it is necessary which of these edifices is a monument or has the status of a historical monument and which is the protection area of this monument. Surely, this is an ambitious project. It will be necessary to work at the level of research, and at the level of local authorities, but it is imperative that the heritage objectives have a file and an inventory, as is the case in other European countries," said Andrei Chistol.
Also in 2019, it is planned the reorganisation of cultural institutions and establishment of a mechanism for their financing, launching of a Programme for revitalisation of Moldovan houses of culture, elaboration of a policy framework for ensuring the circulation of cultural goods, as well as the training of specialists within combating trafficking in cultural goods, development of creative industries, launching of the first Creative Hub in Moldova and a creative mentorship programme in the first half of 2019.
