New Year's eve concert to take place at Christmas fair in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ – Several bands and performers will present at the concert of the New Year's Eve, which will take place on 31 December at the Christmas Fair on street 31 August 1989 in the capital of Moldova.

According to organisers, the concert will start at 21:00 and last for five hours. The show will be opened by band Gandul Matei, which will bring back the famous songs: La Ciocana, Liberty, Si – asa – mi vine, etc. Then Brio Sonores will take the stage, which will perform a programme of Romanian and international carols, recorded on a CD, released on the Christmas Fair inauguration day and subsequently distributed to visitors.

With recitals dedicated to winter holidays, there will perform: Victoria Lungu, pop – rock and folk music band Noroc and members of Valy Boghean Band, which are authors of beautiful urban ballads.

Afterwards, the concert organised at the Christmas Fair, based on the model of the big world capitals, will turn into a grand outdoor party and continue with club music, played by a famous drummer and DJ. And at midnight, when the hands of clock will announce the passage of the year, the sky will be lit by fireworks.

According to organisers, the Christmas Fair is a perfect destination for the ones which have planned to spend a wonderful weekend with their beloved ones. Until the New Year Eve, many artists and bands of Moldova, such as Mariana Mihaila, Adrian Ursu, Doredos, Millenium, will give concerts in winter town with free entrance. A topical artistic programme will feature members of Black and White dance studio and Santa Claus brass band. Also, during the weekend, on the small stage, there will be designed cartoons and films for the small visitors of the Fair.

The Christmas Fair is organised for the second consecutive year at the initiative of PM of Moldova, Pavel Filip, and is based upon the model of big European cities.
