Meteorologists forecast dull weather on New Year's eve in Moldova

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ – On the night between years, the weather will be dull in Moldova, the sky will be cloudy with a minimum of – 03°C.  

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service’s (SHS) information and media communication service, it is expected to be cloudy with no precipitation and normal atmospheric pressure on 31 December.

During the night, it will be registered – 03°C in the north of Moldova, and during the day thermometres will indicate + 03°C. In the centre, it is forecasted – 02°C during the night, and it is expected – 01°C in the south. During the day, thermometres will indicate + 05°C. In Chisinau the minimum will be – 02°C. The weather condition is getting cold in upcoming days.   

The New Year's Eve is also marked by a series of traditions: housewives decorate homes, Christmas trees, and householders clean in poles and stables so as to keep them going well all year round, while children and lads go out with Christmas carols. The tradition also says that the New Year's Eve must catch you with money in your pocket if you want to get it in upcoming year. Another one is that the first person which crosses the dwelling threshold after the New Year's Eve must be a man so as to be successful at money.
