Over 100 million lei earmarked for arranging courtyards in Chisinau

Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/- Over 100 million lei had been earmarked for arranging courtyards in the capital. Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu made the statement.

According to local authorities, 72 million lei were allocated for the repair of 200,000 square meters of roads and sidewalks in the courtyards.

"More than 10 million lei were provided for the arrangement of 20 thousand square meters of parking space and 5 million lei for each sector for squares, alleys, parks and other projects requested by citizens. Also, 28.5 million lei will be used to restore lighting,” he said.

Codreanu called for the actions due to be carried out to be coordinated with the citizens.

The budget of Chisinau municipality for 2019 provides revenues of 3.9 billion lei and expenditures of 4.23 billion lei. The document sets out allocation of funds for carrying out works for the rehabilitation of roads and public lighting, repair works and procurement of equipment in the medical-sanitary institutions, the education and the carrying out of the cultural and artistic activities.
