Over 460 legislative initiatives registered in Moldovan parliament in 2018

Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/- A number of 466 legislative initiatives were registered in Parliament during 2018.
According to the parliament’s press service, most initiatives were submitted by parliamentary factions, the Democrats are leaders on the matter.
Thus, PDM faction submitted 119 projects, followed by the Socialist Party faction with 46 projects and the Party of Communists with 21 projects.
Last year, the European People's Group registered 14 legislative initiatives, the Liberal Party faction - 13, the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova - 6 and the non-affiliated members - 9 projects.
The government submitted to the Parliament for debate and approval 158 draft laws, and the country's president - 28 projects.
According to the legislation, the right to legislative initiative belongs to MPs, President of Moldova, government and the People's Assembly of Gagauzia.
