About 1,8000 public sector employees of Moldova benefit from consultative support on new wage payment system

Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/ - About 1,800 public sector employees in last December resorted to a special phone line, in order to benefit from consultative support as regards the new wage payment system in the public sector. The Centre of Information Technologies and Finances (CTIF) has unveiled data to this effect.
According to CTIF, most callers asked to be informed about the size of the office salary, calculated for December 2018, in the conditions of the new wage payment law.
CTIF’s data also shows that 1,100 callers are employees from public sector authorities and institutions and 688 - employers and accountants of these entities. The latter demanded clarifications on the enforcement of legislative provisions and recommendations on the calculation of salaries in the new conditions.
Data by the directorate for salary policies and monitoring public sector employees at the Finance Ministry shows that directorate’s specialists answered, by making direct contacts with callers, more than a half of the questions received; the others are under examination.
The special phone line for providing consultative support in enforcing the law was launched on 5 December 2018 and will work till late next February. The calls to the phone number 0 8000 1525 are for free and can be made from each fixed or mobile phone, starting from Mondays till Fridays, during 8:00-17:00.
A single wage payment grid was established for all public sector authorities and institutions through the law on the single wage payment system in the public sector, which entered into force on 1 December 2018. The provisions of the new law are enforced for about 200,000 employees from 2,700 public sector authorities and institutions.
