Seven kindergartens to be reopened in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 03 January /MOLDPRES/ – There will be allocated about MDL 110 million in 2019 for investments in education by the Chisinau City Hall (PMC). The announcement was made by the Chisinau acting mayor, Ruslan Codreanu, today.
According to local authorities, it will be used MDL 43.6 million to reopen seven kindergartens. "These are pre – school education institutions in Ciocana, Buiucani, Rascani and Botanica sectors. Similarly, it was allocated the amount of MDL 8 million for reopening of 15 new groups. Also, it is provided the sum of MDL 24.3 million for ensuring comfortable conditions in kindergartens and current repairs. Totally, there will be created about 1,800 new places in the pre – school education system. The figure is about 25 per cent of the city's annual seats," wrote Codreanu on a social networking site.
The Chisinau acting mayor asked the Department of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport to draw up the education procurement plan for 2019. "It will be made public within a month. I do not want to reach the situation of division of contracts or fail to reopen the groups and kindergartens in May," said Ruslan Codreanu.
According to city hall's data, the budget for investment in education amounted to MDL 85 million in 2018.
