Mechanism of providing neutral registration numbers to vehicles from Transnistrian region to be extended

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/ - The mechanism of registration of the transport means from the Transnistrian region with neutral numbers will be extended also to several settlements from the south-eastern Causeni district. The law providing for this and the Moldovan president’s decree on its promulgation were published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) today.

Under the law, the concerned settlements are Gasca, Chitcani, Zahorna, Zvizdocica, Merenesti and Cremenciug from the Causeni district.

The law has already entered into force with its publication in the Official Journal.

Starting from 1 September 2018, as a result of the agreements reached within the Chisinau-Tiraspol negotiations dialogue, two points of registration of transport means from the Transnistrian region were opened in the Tiraspol and Rabnita cities. At these points, owners of vehicles from the Transnistrian region can ask for neutral registration plates, in order to be allowed to the international traffic.
