Deadline for submitting acts for registration of initiative groups in uninominal districts expires in Moldova today

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has informed that the deadline for submitting acts for the registration of initiative groups, to back candidates for MP seats in uninominal districts, expired today.
According to CEC, for the registration of the initiative group, the candidate for MP seat will personally submit the necessary acts to the district electoral council 50 days ahead of the election day at the latest.
In a three-day term after the reception of the acts, the electoral council of the uninominal district will check the correctness of the documents and will decide on the registration or refusal to register the initiative group.
The parliamentary polls due on 24 February will be held according to a mixed electoral system; the MPs are to be elected both on party lists and in uninominal districts.
