Rescuers to get 24 technical units for emergency interventions

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/- The subdivisions of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations today received 24 technical units for interventions in emergency situations. The cars cost over 17 million lei and were purchased from the state budget.
Attending the event were Minister of Internal Affairs Alexandru Jizdan, IGSU Head Mihail Harabagiu and the representatives of the public administration from the districts of the Republic of Moldova.
The purchased equipment will replace material and technical basis of IGSU and will be used in case of snowy roads, inaccessible areas, flood and transporting victims. Besides all-purpose vehicles, the rescuers also received trucks. The technique was distributed in the subdivisions of Edinet, Soroca, Orhei, Bălţi, Cimişlia, Cahul, Căuşeni, Ungheni, Chişinău and Gagauzia.
