Meteorologists forecast frost, snowfall in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/- According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, on 5-8 January, when the Orthodox Christians will celebrate Christmas, we will have -13 degrees Celsius.

Traditionally, the coldest will be in the north, where it is expected -1-7 degrees during the day and -5-13 degrees at night. In the centre and south, the air temperature will reach +1 +2 degrees.

In the coming days, the meteorologists forecast frost, sun and snow. Snowfall is expected mainly in the central and northern regions, while in the south it is moderate and in some areas.

Police and rescuers are warning people, especially the drivers to equip their cars with anti-skid material, shovels, have charged phone batteries and water and food reserves, a blanket. Police warn drivers on alcohol consumption, which could cost them not just fines, driving license cancellation, but also life.
