Customs Service collected 21.4 billion lei to state budget last year

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/- The Customs Service collected last year to the state budget 21.4 billion lei, up by 1 billion 038 million than in 2017.
According to the Customs Service, the values are also rising for exports. In 2018, they grew by 1 billion 950 million lei, representing 39.4 billion lei.
The largest share in the income structure - payments from VAT administration, which is 67.1 per cent, followed by excise duties of 25.3% and customs duties - 5.2%.
The largest contributor to the state budget remains the petroleum products sector, followed by tobacco. The third position in the revenue structure is the consumer goods.
According to the Customs Service, an important factor influencing the increase in budget collections is the reforms to simplify customs procedures and to facilitate international trade that have been implemented over the last few years. Here we can mention electronic declaration, AEO (Authorized Economic Agent), PVD (Domestic clearance) or Approved Exporter.
