National Army soldier won third place in international competition

Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/- A National Army soldier deployed in the KFOR operation won third place at the DANCON March (Danish Contingency) international competition, organized by the Danish soldiers.
According to KFOR-10 commander Ion Godoroja, over 600 soldiers from 28 countries participating in the KFOR operation were enrolled in the contest. They traveled 25 km in Novo Selo, Kosovo, wearing 10kg backpacks.
He said that Moldova was represented at the competition by eight officers and non-commissioned officers of the National Army, and one of them - Major Lieutenant Vasile Olari, ranked third in the competition, managing to reach the finish in two hours.
DANCON March is a tradition of the Danish Army dating back to 1972. So far, the march has taken place in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries where the Danish army has deployed troops.
National Army peacekeepers, deployed in KFOR's mission, have been participating in this competition since 2014.
