Authorities start processing data on road segments to be included in Good Roads for Moldova 2 programme

Chisinau, 09 January /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) initiated the processing of the data received from the local councils on the road sectors to be included in programme Good roads 2 for Moldova in 2019.

The process of collecting proposals for the road sectors to be included within Programme in 2019 started in November 2018. According to the MEI's information and media communication service, at present, there are 13 more local public authorities to provide info onto road sectors to be upgraded.

"This project is very important for the development of road infrastructure in 2019. We have already begun processing the data obtained from the district Councils. We are awaiting proposals from the districts that have failed to send info on the road sectors to be included in the project for 2019. Once received, it will be processed as soon as possible," said Minister Chiril Gaburici.

Programme Good roads 2 for Moldova was launched in early October 2018 and provides for the repair and construction of about 2,600 km of road in all regions of Moldova in 2019.

In 2018, it was rehabilitated a segment of 1,600 km of road within programme.
