List of taxes able to be paid online extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/ - The list of taxes which can be paid online has been extended. It is about the tax resulting from rental contracts. Starting from 3 January 2019, the tax from the giving in possession and/or in use of a real estate can be paid through the Mpay Governmental Service of Electronic Payments.    

For this, the tax payer is to access the service www.mpay.gov.md, introduce the data demanded in the form, choose the way of payment and pay the tax itself.  

According to the State Fiscal Service, if the tax payer has the electronic or mobile signature, the contract on the rental of real estate can be registered online through accessing the portal of electronic fiscal services www.servicii.fisc.md.

Under the legislation, private people who offer real estate in possession and/or in use are obliged to register the rental contract at the State Fiscal Service and pay the tax worth 7 per cent of the contract’s value. Otherwise, the owners run the risk of getting fines or sanctions.   

At present, more taxes can be paid through the Mpay service.
