Six persons hospitalised after road accidents within recent 24 hours in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ – Six people were hospitalised within recent 24 hours with various injuries caused by road accidents caused by bad weather conditions.
The press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate (INP), Natalia Golovco, said that during recent 24 hours, during the snowfalls in the country, there were reported five serious road accidents, resulting in six traumatised persons.
"Starting at 08:00 of the current day, a patrol crew from each sector of the capital went to the IM Exdrupo Registry, took over three trucks and with the beacon in operation, supports the cleaning of the road," said Golovco.
According to the cited source, at present the road traffic runs low speed in winter conditions in the country, and there are not road blockages". On the Balkan road in the capital it was blocked a long vehicle, but it was dragged by a special car," added Golovco.
The National Patrol Inspectorate urges all road users to follow police instructions and move 20-30 km less than the allowed limit. At the same time, drivers are warned to use daytime and nighttime driving lights to reduce the risk of road accidents. In the same way, the INP recommends drivers which start to have their car tanks full, water for 24 hours, food, a warm blanket, tea thermos, the charged phone and the medical kit.
