Over MDL 76 million to be allocated for development of northern region of Moldova in 2019

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ – The North Region of Moldova will benefit in 2019 of over MDL 76 million for implementation of ten regional development projects launched largely in 2017. The money will be allocated from the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR) by a decision of the National Coordination Council for National Development (CNCDR).
According to the North Regional Development Agency, there will be allocated important financial sources for further implementation of five water supply and sanitation projects, three business infrastructure development projects and an energy efficiency project. Also, it will be launched a new project for water supply and sewerage in Donduseni district.
Due to the FNDR funding, it will be continued the programmes of insurance of Falesti city with water from the Prut river, as well as the construction of the aqueduct systems in ten other localities in the Prut meadow. The Energy Centre of Edinet will also be energetically efficient, in Balti, it will be created a Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer in the North Development Region, etc.
In 2019, CNCDR has approved allocation of MDL 201.75 million for the projects implemented in the four development regions of Moldova. This year, the total budget of the FNDR, which includes operational expenditures, amounts MDL 220 million.
