Moldovan parliament of 20th legislative period considers 20 motions

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament considered 20 motions on the period 2015-2018, of which 17 were simple ones and three motions of censure.
On the same period, the parliament of the 20th legislative period organized 17 hearings and set up 13 commissions, of which nine special ones and four inquiry commissions and 26 reports were presented in plenum.
In 2018, MPs addressed 124 interpellations and questions to state’s institutions. Most of them – 55 – were addressed by lawmakers of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), followed by MPs of the Party of Communists, with 33 interpellations. The Socialist lawmakers put 17 questions, the Liberals – 13, the non-affiliated MPs – four questions and the Democratic Party lawmakers – two ones.
The mandate of the parliament of the 20th legislative period expired on 30 November 2018. Under the provisions of the Constitution, the mandate of the legislative body is extended till the first official meeting of the new composition of the parliament.
