Moldovan PM demands that state's institutions ensure removal of snow, icicles from roofs

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today signed an instruction, thereby demanding that state’s institutions organize the removal of snow and icicles from roofs of buildings, as well as the snow from buildings’ yards. The authorities are recommended to take needed measures, to ensure the security of the staff involved in works, passers-byes and the area where these works are carried out, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
At the same time, the prime minister asked the local public administration to inform the heads of the public institutions and economic agents about the necessity to remove snow from roofs, in order to ensure citizens’ security.
In the context of a yellow code of snowfall, issued by meteorologists on 10 January, the authorities set up a crisis cell, in order to diminish the consequences triggered by the bad weather. In the last three days, more than 1,000 units of special technology and over 2,000 workers got involved in the works of removing snow from roads. On this period, more than 10,000 tons of anti-skid material was spread on roads from Moldova.
The crisis cell has monitored the situation in the country till today.
