Palace of republic hosts Annual Awards Gala of Ministry of education, culture, research of Moldova

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ – At the Palace of the Republic took place today the Annual Awards Gala of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC). Totally, there have been granted 16 awards.
This year, at the initiative of the Minister of MECC, Monica Babuc, it was established a prize in the field of arts education. In its possession came a teacher of singing, Vladimir Vichilu, for outstanding success in the education, promotion and launch of vocalist soloists, Larisa Jar, piano professor at the Republican Music High School C. Porumbescu, for outstanding success in educating and promoting young pianists, Natalia Corcodel, director of the Republican Music High School S. Rahmaninov and Irina Bogataia, director of Arts School A. Starcea in Chisinau – for remarkable successes in the field of artistic education etc.
During the ceremony, the actress of the National Theatre Mihai Eminescu, Angela Ciobanu, was awarded with prize Valeriu Cupcea in the field of theatrical art, for professional qualities, nationally and internationally awarded performances, and with award Constantin Stere in the field of literature – poet Ana Rapcea, for the volume of lyrics Cand lumina se clatina (When the light shivers).
The Music Award Gavriil Musicescu was handed to composer Marian Starcea, artistic director of the National Philharmonic S. Lunchevici for great merits and considerable contribution to the promotion and development of the national music field, pop music singer Nelly Ciobanu, for the artistic craftsmanship and the promotion of Moldova's image on national and international levels, and Vasile Goia, artistic director and first conductor of Orchestra Joc of the National Academic Folk Dance Ensemble, for high professional qualities and the promotion of the image of Moldova at national and international levels.
Interviewed by agency, actress Angela Ciobanu has mentioned that this prize is very important to her, because public appreciation matters a lot for an artist. And composer Marian Starcea said he was glad that he took this prize just now, when it is celebrated anniversary of 100 years from the birth of his father, composer Alexei Starcea.
The awards of the MECC has been awarded annually since 2012.
