Moldova presents investment opportunities in China

Moldova has presented its investment opportunities at a country – wide promotional event held in Taicang, China.
The Chinese partners have expressed interest in the Moldovan producer, the qualitative and natural products, which are in demand on the Chinese market, said the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) of Moldova in a press release.
The event was organised to present to the Chinese side the most important economic sectors of Moldova, most competitive domestic goods, as well as investment opportunities for foreign partners.
According to the State Secretary of the MEI, Iuliana Dragalin, China is an important trading partner and one of the top investors for Moldova, and the Chinese market is an objective for domestic producers. "We appreciate the assistance given to Moldova throughout various bilateral cooperation projects. We encourage business persons from both countries to participate in exhibitions, forums and promotional events. It will strengthen further the Moldovan – Chinese cooperation in different areas," said Iuliana Dragalin.
Currently, Moldova and China are in the process of negotiating the Free Trade Agreement between the two states.
Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) reveals that Moldovan exports to Chinese market rose by 30.9 per cent in 2017 and imports by 26.4 per cent. According to official data, in Moldova operate 85 companies with Chinese capital.
