About 11,000 lease contracts registered at State Fiscal Service of Moldova in 2018

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - About 11,000 lease contracts were registered at the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in 2018, which brought additional revenues to the state budget.
Thus, on the aforementioned period, SFS identified more than 4,700 owners who let out real estate and started actions prompting them to pay their taxes. At the same time, fiscal inspectors carried out fiscal controls at 447 private persons who rent real estate, with basic payments worth 486,000 lei, penalties of 58,000 lei and fines amounting to over 46,000 lei additionally calculated in the budget.
Data by the State Fiscal Service shows that, in last December alone, 407 private people – owners were identified letting out real estate and almost 1,000 rental contracts were recorded and the budget was supplemented with 41,200 lei.
Under the legislation, private persons letting out real estate must pay a tax worth seven percent of the incomes got. The tax is to be paid on the date of 2 of the current month or in advance, at any commercial bank or post office of Moldova. The rental contracts can be registered at the fiscal service departments of the area where the real estate is placed.
The private persons who do not fulfill their proper duties run the risk to be fined and sanctioned, in line with the provisions of the Fiscal Code.
